When selling pets, has a (0.22 * Weight + 2.5)% chance to get the pet back as its egg equivalent! This bonus is capped at 50% per pet sold.

How to get

Overview

The Seal is an obtainable, rare pet released in the Summer Update.

How It Works

Seal the Deal: When selling pets, has a (0.22 * Weight + 2.5)% chance to get the pet back as its egg equivalent ( cap at 8% ). This bonus is capped at 50% per pet sold. Cannot refund rainbow/exotic/premium eggs.

Medium Toy boosts the passive by 0.5 %

Small Toy boosts the passive by 0.25 %

Seal Value

Wondering how much Seal is worth? Below is the current market value for the pet and its Huge variant.

Best For

  • Pet recycling strategy with up to 64% total egg return rate from multiple Seals
  • Resource management for expensive pet selling - recover valuable pets as eggs
  • Pet Mutations preparation - selling failed mutation attempts while keeping eggs
  • Event pet farming where maintaining breeding stock is crucial

Pro Strategies

Eight-Seal Army Formation

  • Deploy 8 Seal pets simultaneously for maximum pet recovery rates. Each Seal provides ~8% recovery chance (at max weight), creating 64% total recovery rate when selling pets. This means 2 out of 3 sold pets return as eggs, making it safe to sell valuable pets for Sheckle while maintaining breeding potential.

Weight and Buff Optimization

  • Maximize each Seal's effectiveness: Level to maximum weight for 8% base chance, use Medium Toy (+0.5%) and Small Toy (+0.25%), plus Nihonzaru buff (+1.32%). This creates individual Seals with ~10% recovery chance before the 8% cap limitation.

Strategic Pet Selling Method

  • Focus on selling duplicate pets, failed pet mutations, and lower-tier pets you no longer need. Since Seals convert pets back to their original egg type, you maintain the ability to re-hatch while gaining immediate Sheckle. Avoid selling unique event pets unless you have confirmed backups.

Inventory Management Loop

  • Create sustainable farming cycles: Hatch eggs → Level valuable pets → Sell duplicates/unwanted with Seal protection → Use returned eggs to continue breeding. This method allows aggressive pet slot management without permanently losing genetic diversity from your breeding stock.

Alternatives

budget: Single Seal + Selective Selling

Cost: One Seal vs full army - 8% vs 64% recovery

Tradeoff: Lower security but still provides some pet recovery safety net

Common Mistakes

  • Selling Premium/Exotic/Rainbow egg pets (Seals cannot recover these egg types)
  • Using only 1-2 Seals instead of full 8-pet army for maximum protection
  • Not maximizing Seal weight - recovery rates scale significantly with pet size
  • Selling irreplaceable event pets without confirmed breeding backups

Advanced Tips

  • Combine Seal strategy with Pet Mutations - sell failed attempts safely
  • Use Pet Slots to quickly deploy Seal army before major pet selling sessions
  • Monitor the 64% recovery rate - track your actual egg returns to verify system working
  • Coordinate with Koi armies for complete egg-to-adult pet lifecycle protection

Appearance

The Seal has a fairly simple appearance. Its entire body is one color, being a slightly brownish gray. It has its head picked up by its neck, two flippers, on either side of it towards the front of its body, and a tail. On its face, it has a black eye on each side of its face and a snout that pops out the front that has a small brown nose.
